Peer Review Process

Journal of Fishing and Post-harvest Technology is a double blind peer review journal. After submission, editorial board of the journal will perform a preliminary review of the manuscript. If the manuscript is accepted at this level, it would be sent to two reviewers for in depth review. Based on their reports, final decision will be made. Four types of decisions can be yielded this after in depth review-

  • Accepted (with no change of manuscript)
  • Accepted after minor correction
  • Accepted after major correction
  • Rejected

Decisions on the submitted manuscript will be made as rapidly as possible, and the journal strives to return reviewers’ comments to authors promptly. If the manuscript is accepted with minor/major correction, it would be returned to corresponding author to perform necessary correction according to the reviewer’s comment. Author will get 7 days to resubmit the manuscript. The Editorial board will re-review manuscripts that are accepted pending revision. Finally the manuscript will be reviewed by the Chief Editor at the last stage of publishing. It is the goal of the Journal of Fishing and Post-harvest Technology to publish manuscripts shortly after submission.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Policy for Plagiarism

Executive Editor/s will perform a preliminary check of the manuscript by searching on the internet. Manuscript seems subjected to plagiarism will not be considered for further process and rejected immediately. However, if Editorial Board receive any complain about an article after publication, the board will communicate the corresponding author regarding this issue. If corresponding author failed to give satisfactory explanation, article will be removed from the site immediately and that author will be banned permanently.
